It can be a frightening experience if you or someone close to you is diagnosed with cancer. Understanding the disease & getting in touch with other cancer patients can help. Support groups play an important role in this matter. They give advice, help and support to cancer patients, their relatives and friends. They are usually voluntary organisations formed by people in the same predicament, who are willing to help and support each other.

Chat rooms can also help you face the issues surrounding cancer. They enable you to contact other cancer patients & survivors of the disease.

We provide you with links to some good cancer sites, support groups and chat rooms. Some have a special section, dedicated to helping children cope with cancer.
